Is OpenStack right for me?

Paul Kippes recently completed an MS in computer science at Georgia Tech. His studies in distributed computing included research on OpenStack's swift object store. Before attending Georgia Tech full-time, he worked at Bell Helicopter writing simulation software and working in embedded systems.

My research with swift suggested that certain configurations and workloads with the OpenStack swift object store observe a performance penalty. This talk will present the communication interactions when objects are saved and read in swift and recommendations on configurations for various workloads.
